Closing Cycles Is Also Growing: My Transition from Loot Studios
Published on October 05, 2025
Over the past three years, I’ve lived one of the most intense and transformative chapters of my career. I had the privilege of leading initiatives that created real impact at Loot Studios: in product, in process, and in people.
Ending this chapter wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one. This post aims to share, transparently, the reason behind my departure and how I managed this transition, with respect, clarity, and gratitude.
Above, part of Loot Studios leadership during an alignment session. Proud to have collaborated with this team.
Why I Left
This was a personal decision. My wife is beginning a new professional and personal journey, and I chose to join her in this new chapter — in another state here in Brazil — which made it impossible for me to continue at Loot, a company with a strong in-person culture.
It was a family decision and, above all, a matter of priorities. There are moments in life when balance speaks louder than ambition. This is one of them.
How I Managed the Transition
I left Loot with doors open and a strong sense of fulfillment.
I approached the transition with the same care I’ve always dedicated to the product: context, continuity, and collaboration.
- Direct alignment with leadership and partner teams on the transition plan.
- Full handoff with the new Product Lead, covering strategic context, metrics, rituals, roadmap, and prioritized backlog.
- Updated documentation with processes, assumptions, decisions, and pending items.
- Final alignments with key stakeholders to ensure fluidity and continuity.
My goal was simple: to leave the ground prepared for the team to keep growing: fast and with direction.
What Comes Next
I’m now entering a new personal and professional phase.
I’m open to new product opportunities!
In the meantime, I’m dedicating time to personal projects (like RoleVector.com), health, and family, which, in the end, are my greatest sources of energy.
Gratitude
My sincere thanks to the entire Loot Studios team and to all the amazing people I had the chance to learn from and build with throughout this journey.
